Professional Experience
Anita Jain’s practice primarily focuses on complex business and commercial litigation.

Ms. Jain’s legal experience includes both litigation and corporate counseling.  She has represented parties in all aspects of litigation at both the trial and appellate levels as well as in arbitration.  Her litigation experience covers a broad range of issues, including breach of contract, business torts, insurance, breach of fiduciary duty, toxic torts, employment, drug and medical device, stockholders’ derivative lawsuits, professional liability, unfair competition, human trafficking and commercial litigation.

Ms. Jain also has had extensive experience advising clients on legal matters, including insurance coverage, employment issues, corporate governance, FDA regulations regarding drugs and medical devices, international jurisdictional and related issues and product safety/warranties.

Recent matters include:
Secured multi-million dollar settlement for Enron Wind Energy Systems in complex bankruptcy adversary proceeding.



Secured multi-million dollar arbitration award in commercial contract action.
Obtained dismissal of business tort action on summary judgment seeking hundreds of millions of dollars.
Filed successful writ of mandate with California appellate court for Big 5 Sporting Goods seeking reversal of lower court’s order, which led to lower court’s reversal of its own order before appellate court could address issue.
Successfully blocked high-exposure lawsuit against Reynolds Metals based on constitutional grounds, despite court’s prior ruling that defendant could be sued in parallel proceeding.
Obtained dismissal of insurance matter involving cross-border transaction which sought millions of dollars.
Formulated novel strategy for challenging product liability claims, leading to favorable settlements in multiple cases.
